Welcome to the Sustainability Exchange project proposal process!

This form will ask you for a 250-word description of your project proposal, the role you envision students playing in your project and tasks you would like them to do, and what you hope the final outcome of the project will be. We recommend you type this in a Word document and save it before copy/pasting into the form. This will reduce the risk of losing your work due to technical difficulties.

Time commitment- faculty advisors
Faculty advisors must be able to attend both Tuesday and Thursday classes from 2:30-4pm for the duration of their project, and commit to serving as a liaison between students and partners to facilitate the completion of the project.

Time commitment- clients
Generally, clients must be able to communicate with students about the project at least weekly, and meet with students monthly. We'd also like them to attend the end of semester reception if possible. They also must be able to supply students with needed data, background information, or contacts, all of which may add to the time commitment for your project.

Fall Project Deadlines
For prospective clients without a faculty partner, and for faculty advisors submitting proposals without identified clients, the deadline is February 28. We need additional time to do advisor/client matchmaking for these proposals. We will be in touch with you with feedback about your proposal by March 15th.

For prospective WashU faculty advisor/client teams that have already been identified, the deadline is March 15th.

Announcements for projects starting in the Fall will be made by April 1st.
